Which Gen 4 Kingshot Heroes Are Worth Investing In or Skipping

Starting Off: Who's Really Worth Building in Gen 4?

Wondering whether to invest in Kingshot’s Gen 4 heroes? From infantry picks like Alcar to archers like Roza and cavalry options like Margot, each comes with pros, cons, and specific use cases. Here's a full review from a practical, long-term player's lens.

1. Alcar: Is This Infantry Hero Worth the Cost?

This section breaks down why Alcar may not be the best choice unless you're a high-investment player.

I tried Alcar during my campaign tests, and while his arena-focused skills seem promising at first, they don't hold up well under close scrutiny.

(1) What skills actually help in battle?

Alcar's three primary arena abilities are:

  • 70% damage reduction for infantry/archers every 5 turns
  • 100% infantry damage boost, 10% for others
  • 60% boost to infantry attacks and +25% damage received by enemies

Sounds impressive? Not really.

Here's what didn't sit well with me:

  • Turn-based activation feels unreliable. That 70% damage reduction? It's only for 2 turns every 5.
  • 100% infantry damage sounds good, but in Kingshot, infantry isn't for damage, it's for defense.
  • The last skill offers only a 1-turn buff—not enough for consistent performance.

(2) Is the special weapon worth it?

The weapon gives +15% HP when allies are defending, which is decent. Whales will find some value, but for mid-to-low spenders, it's not a smart move.

2. Roza: An Arena-Oriented Archer With High Potential

Roza is designed for arena utility, with control-break debuffs, support boosts, and high crit potential. I found her surprisingly strong—but with some caveats.

(1) What makes Roza stand out?

On the left skill set:

  • +7% attack, +5% duration
  • Removes all control effects
  • 300% damage + healing + debuffing enemy attack speed

Perfect for support. You can tuck her into the backline and watch her buff nearby archers.

(2) What about the right skill set?

  • 40% chance for +50% damage — strong, but RNG-based
  • 20% enemy damage reduction — decent, not game-breaking
  • +30% archer attack — the real highlight

Her special weapon also adds 15% lethality during rallies, which is only relevant if you're leading attacks.

🔍 Should you invest in Roza?

If you're a low-investment player:

  • 4-star Roza is enough to unlock her key support skills
  • You don't need the weapon unless you're doing rallies
  • Skip her if you're saving up for Gen 5’s archer

But if you have no strong archers and need someone reliable now, she's worth building to carry you until Gen 6 or 7.

3. Margot Suvari: A Cavalry Hero Made for Arena Power Plays

Margot is the Gen 4 cavalry option, and among the three, he’s arguably the most flexible. But only if you didn’t build Petra before.

(1) Why is Margot called the “arena monster”?

  • 420% AoE damage skill
  • 25% chance to avoid hits
  • 140% damage + enemy stun (1.5 sec)

He can be placed in either front or back row. Some of his abilities are luck-based, but when they work, they hit hard.

(2) Passive skills that matter

  • +25% team attack with no RNG — excellent
  • 20% dodge chance — low value unless lucky
  • 25% trigger: cavalry deals +200% damage — great when it hits, but again, very random

(3) Special weapon impact

15% lethality during defense—not bad. Better than rally-based lethality for low-spenders who get attacked more than they attack.

🧩 Who should build Margot?

  • Didn’t build Petra before? Margot is your Gen 4 cavalry solution
  • Already have 4-star+ Petra? Skip Margot, save resources
  • Whales will benefit most, but even mid-spenders can use Margot effectively in the arena

4. Should You Skip Gen 4 Heroes Entirely?

This was my biggest question when testing: Should I just save for Gen 5 instead?

Answer: It depends on these 3 things:

  • Do you already have a strong 4-star archer (like Marlin or Jager)?
Then skip Roza, and save diamonds for the Gen 5 shooter.
  • Built Petra before?
Then no reason to touch Margot.
  • No decent infantry or low on mythics?
Still skip Alcar. Better infantry is coming in Gen 5.

5. My Personal Strategy Moving Forward

I usually build roulette heroes to 4★ only and skip static store heroes unless I’m sure they’ll carry me through at least two generations.

What I’m doing now:

  • Saving mythics for Gen 5 roulette picks
  • Holding off on Alcar completely
  • Considering Roza if I can’t get the S5 shooter
  • Margot only if I missed Petra, otherwise skipping

Wrapping Up: Make Every Hero Investment Count

Gen 4 brings exciting heroes, but smart choices now can save you a lot of regret later. Stick with roulette picks for value, and only splurge on special weapons or 5★ builds if you're a whale or plan to rally often.

If you're unsure, just aim for 4★ on key arena heroes, and ride them out until Gen 6 or 7.

Still debating between Roza and Margot?

Ask yourself: Will this hero carry me through the next two generations, or am I just spending for short-term fun?

In Kingshot, every diamond matters.
