How to Efficiently Power Up in Kingshot During Upgrades

Starting Strong in Kingshot: My 30-Day Strategy to Grow Power Fast

Starting from scratch in a new kingdom of Kingshot, I wanted to see how much I could grow my power in just 30 days. I’m currently at day 10 with a new account in Kingdom 819, part of the DVL (Devil Paradise Alliance)—and already seeing real momentum. Here’s exactly how I handled one of the key moments: a major upgrade phase that changed everything.

 

1. What to prioritize when major upgrades become available

Big upgrades can either supercharge your growth or waste your time. Timing and order matter more than most players think.

My progress checkpoint:
On day 10, I reached the point where I could upgrade my Embassy to level 17. This was important because it unlocked the ability to level up my Town Center, the heart of all further growth.

From experience, here’s what I focused on right after unlocking major upgrades:

  • Time reduced from 1 day 10 hrs → 1 day 3 hrs

Why this matters:
In early game, 7 hours can make or break a day’s worth of progress. I always try to stack upgrades during boost windows, and I keep an eye on the cooldown of the Court of Justice to time this well.

 

3. Why being in an alliance isn’t optional—it’s essential

At this point, you might be asking: Do I really need to be in an alliance early on?

Short answer: Yes.
I saved dozens of hours on builds thanks to help from my alliance. That’s not just theory—I’ve seen the numbers.

  • Speed bonuses: Each help reduces upgrade timers
  • Free resources: Daily alliance chests from active members
  • Combat support: Easier rally participation for rewards
  • Protection: Reduces chances of being targeted early

When I logged in the next morning, I had over 100 alliance loot chests just from passive activity. That’s the power of a highly active group.

 

4. How I handled overlapping upgrades with limited time boosts

With only 5 minutes left on my decree boost, I rushed to line up other long-term projects.

(1) What I managed to start before the buff expired

  • Infirmary upgrade (3 hrs)
  • Camp Expansion research (~7 hrs)
  • Command Center upgrade (2.5 hrs)

I try to queue up as many long-timers as possible under the same time reduction boost. This creates a domino effect where each element of the base moves forward without dead time.

My strategy:
I always keep a mental list of “next long upgrade” targets so I can react quickly when boosts or speedups become available.

 

5. The in-between grind: battles, watchtower, and rewards

With all the major upgrades queued, it’s tempting to log off and wait. But that would be wasting precious time.

  • Clear watchtower battles: Rewards stack quickly
  • Auto-join rallies: Even small participation gives rewards
  • Check tech research: Upgrade anything idle
  • Gather resources: Keep reserves ready for next upgrades

I’ve made it a habit to always queue something—whether it's troops, research, or building—before leaving the game. The idle cost is just too high if you want to stay competitive.

 

6. What’s next: prepping for Town Center level 18 and beyond

I’m now preparing for Town Center level 18, and based on game structure, I expect some additional requirements like:

  • Stable / Barracks / Range upgrades
  • Embassy further upgrades
  • Potential resource thresholds

While the main Town Center is upgrading, I go around and level up all secondary buildings to make sure nothing becomes a blocker later.

From my experience, getting stuck behind one underleveled building can halt progress for 1~2 days. I don’t let that happen.

 

7. Why these early upgrades are the most fun part of the game

Kingshot has a lot going on—battles, alliances, heroes—but the city-building phase has its own charm.

  • Every upgrade gives a huge power boost
  • Rewards are frequent and satisfying
  • There’s low pressure compared to late-game wars

I’m taking time to enjoy this stage because, soon enough, war will take over. That’s when defensive strategy, power scaling, and alliance politics become dominant.
