Kingshot Hero Roulette Results: Was Zoe Worth 160K Gems?

Day 2 of Hall of Governors focused on hero development, and I spent over 160,000 gems to unlock Zoe. Was it worth it? Here's what happened and how it impacted my ranking.

 

1. A New Focus for Day 2: Hero Development and Resource Strategy

From gathering on Day 1 to heavy spending on Day 2

Day 1 was relatively straightforward—I gathered resources and ended up at 30th place with 13.5 million points. Day 2, however, introduced a whole new dynamic: Hero Development.

I had 165,000 gems saved up specifically for this, and it was time to spend them. The main question was: Could I use this opportunity to both unlock a new hero and boost my ranking significantly?

I also bought the Ultra Value Monthly Card for $5, which gave me:

  • Auto-help for alliance members
  • Auto-hunting
  • Additional daily gems
  • VIP benefits for 30 days

Not a bad deal—and it activated instantly, bumping me to VIP 4.

 

2. Hero Roulette: Chasing Zoe with Everything I Had

This is where the real gamble began

Zoe was the target—an SSR hero many players recommend adding to the roster. I hadn’t touched the roulette feature before, so this was my first time spinning.

3. Is It Worth Upgrading Zoe Right Away?

Should I build her now or wait until a better event day?

I wasn’t sure whether to use hero shards today or wait until Day 7, which also offers hero development points. But after getting Zoe, I was eager to see if I could climb the leaderboard fast.

🔧 Steps I took to build up Zoe quickly:

  • Fully recruited and ascended her
  • Used all available upgrades and gear
  • Shifted focus from other heroes to power her up
  • Assigned her into my drill camp
  • Checked how these upgrades impacted my ranking

Results after upgrading Zoe:

  • Started at 85th place
  • Climbed to 82nd
  • After full upgrades: 57th place

Conclusion: Yes, upgrading her now did move the needle—but not as much as I expected.

 

4. Gear, Drill Camps, and Replacements: Who Makes Room for Zoe?

Is Zoe worth replacing someone else in my main lineup?

This was the big internal debate. I considered pulling resources from:

  • Howard
  • Helga
  • Saul

I still haven’t made a final call, but Zoe feels like a solid long-term investment, so I started moving her up the roster.

  • Improved reservoir buildings to Level 10
  • Upgraded the Construction Hut to Level 2
  • Prioritized units with high gathering efficiency

Also, I dropped a few heroes into gathering while others were out on rallies.

Freebies can go a long way when you're this low on gems

Right after spending almost everything, I redeemed the promo code: 1inamillion (make sure to enter it in-game).

  • Hero shards

  • 100,000 in resources

A few people from the alliance shared it, and it was the perfect time to cash in.

Additionally, I made sure to claim rewards from rallies, bear hunts, and system events—any small boost matters at this stage.

 

6. Final Thoughts: Did I Spend Smart or Just Burn Gems?

Dropping to 85th place despite all the effort was disappointing

The main lesson? Don’t go all-in unless the bonus rewards justify it. The moment I saw the extended rewards were done, I stopped spinning—even though I had gems left. That decision alone saved me from further waste.

My advice: Be strategic with your gems. Don't just spin because you can. Spin because there’s something worth winning.
