Kingshot Update: Rewards, Strategy, and Missed Opportunities

Placed 30th in the Hall of Governors, but were the rewards worth the grind? Here’s how I played through it, what I got, and what I learned from the experience.

 

1. The Hall of Governors event: Was it worth it?

It was a full 7-day push—and I landed in 30th place.

The Hall of Governors event is one of the more competitive and rewarding events in the game. After a week of grinding through dailies, battles, and resource collection, the final rewards came in. And honestly? They weren’t as grand as I’d hoped.

(1) Here’s what I got for placing 30th in my kingdom

  • 8,000 gems
  • 12 hours of various speedups

Not bad, but also not something to write home about. For seven days of focused effort, I expected a little more punch from the prize.

 

2. How each day played out during the event

Looking back, my early days in the event were solid. The final day, however, took a toll. I had saved some footage showing my points progression and ranking so I could review it later. By the time the event ended, all of that had vanished from the game interface.

That’s why I screen-recorded as much as I could—to track what worked and what didn’t. Final verdict? Most days went well, but I didn’t close strong enough.

 

3. 178,000 kills: Was it all farming attacks?

During the “All-In” event, I went hunting. Not just randomly attacking—specifically going after farmers who were out in the open.

I made some mistakes, like sending attackers on 10-minute walks only for the targets to vanish or strike back. But overall, it was one of the more fun parts of the event.

  • Multiple mini-victories
  • A better understanding of tactical timing

One key lesson: Scouting matters. I ignored scouting a few times, and while it didn’t hurt much, it could’ve cost me more.

 

4. How I’m managing gear, gems, and heroes now

After the event, it became clear: I needed to prioritize gear for my key heroes.

I was sending Quinn into fights with almost no decent equipment. Meanwhile, other players in the arena had fully leveled purple gear. That mismatch showed.

(1) So I made the call

  • Focus on leveling Jable’s gear to 50 first
  • Continue upgrading Zoey’s skills and items
  • Use speedups wisely (I’ve got 22 days worth overall)

(2) Gem Strategy

I currently have 53,000 gems. My goal is 120,000 to hit the next wheel. If I fall short, I might consider spending—but only if absolutely needed.

 

5. Building, gathering, and staying active

Daily gathering is a routine now. Here’s how I’m approaching it:

(1) If I’m active

  • Hit low-level resource nodes for fast returns

(2) If I’m logging off

  • Target level 8 nodes to keep gathering going for ~12 hours

I’m also managing construction actively:

  • Stable finishes in 2 hours
  • Town Center has 3.5 days left

And my next goal? Upgrade the Fountain of Life. Just need about 14,000 more water to get there.

 

6. Tips, lessons, and what I should've done differently

I’ve been getting great advice in the comments, and here are a few that stood out:

(1) Helpful comment

“Don’t forget to upgrade your basic dock to increase troop capacity. Always scout before you battle.”

Yes—I overlooked scouting in a few cases, and it could have gone worse. Another comment gave gear tips I hadn’t fully followed yet, but plan to:

“Infantry health for armor and gloves, archer lethality for helmet and boots, cavalry lethality for same.”

It’s making me rethink how I gear up for both PvP and arena.
