What I Achieved in My First 30 Days Playing Kingshot
Starting Out
Just completed my first 30 days in Kingshot—starting from scratch on a new server with a brand new account. I didn't expect to get this far, but here I am at Town Center Level 22, learning more than I expected and making real, consistent progress. Here’s what changed, what I regret, and what I’d do differently if I had to start over again.
1. What reaching Town Center Level 22 really took
This wasn’t a passive climb—every level required a decision.
I got to Level 22 in just 30 days, but it didn’t happen by accident. The real key was maintaining a balance between building upgrades and research while staying active in gathering.
In the beginning, I focused too heavily on buildings and ignored resource management. I didn’t prioritize gathering until I ran into a wall—suddenly I couldn't afford the upgrades I wanted. That’s when I changed course.
(1) 💡 Key upgrades I completed in 30 days
| Building | Current Level | Importance |
|---|---|---|
| Town Center | 22 | Unlocks core features |
| Stable | 21 | Required for Town Center 23 |
| Embassy | In Progress | Alliance help & advancement |
| Academy | Pending | Needed for faster research |
2. Gathering became essential (and it changed my approach)
I didn’t focus on gathering—until I had to.
Initially, I thought gathering was something you do after you’ve built a solid base. Turns out, it's what makes that base possible in the first place.
I only had four march queues and always kept one free for alliance rallies. That left me with just three for gathering. Not ideal.
That’s when I picked up the $3.99 March Queue Unlock Pack.
🧺 What I got from the $3.99 March Queue Pack
- March Queue +1 (Permanent): Increased gathering capacity
- 2,000 Gems: Used for speedups or VIP upgrades
- Extra Troops & Resources: Immediate support
- Alliance Gift Crate: Bonus for group purchases
Why I bought it: For me, permanent functionality always beats temporary boosts. I thought about how much I gather overnight while sleeping—and the return just made sense.
3. Is upgrading gear worth it this early?
Gear decisions are trickier than they seem.
Upgrading hero gear early in the game might seem unnecessary, but I found it helpful to start investing slowly—especially when I got access to free or pack-based gear.
I worked on Jable as my primary hero, adding a chestplate and upgrading her gear to Level 9. I also started to enhance lower-tier gear for other heroes using gilded threads and satin, which I had to start collecting actively.
🛠️ Gear upgrades I focused on (with benefits)
| Gear Type | Stat Boost | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Chestplate | Infantry/Cavalry Defense | Jable's survivability |
| Boots | Movement Speed | Quick gathering missions |
| Global Gear | All Unit Types | Overall team enhancement |
I still don't know if Saul was worth investing into gear-wise, especially since other heroes seem stronger long-term. But for now, I’m waiting for a better alternative before pulling everything off him.
4. What I’d do differently if I restarted today
Some lessons you only learn the hard way.
There are a few decisions I’d absolutely change if I started again. Some upgrades felt wasteful in hindsight, and I ignored key areas like gathering and construction speed.
🧭 My top five changes if I started again
- Start gathering on Day 1 – Don’t wait until you’re out of resources.
- Upgrade construction speed early – It pays off massively later.
- Pick one hero to gear up first – Splitting gear between too many is inefficient.
- Ignore Saul if you’re not 100% sold – Invest in a hero you’ll keep using.
- Don’t hoard materials forever – Use them as you grow. The return is time.
The biggest lesson? It’s better to make consistent small upgrades than save endlessly for something you may not need later.
5. My current goals and what's next
Now that I’ve got the basics, it's time to optimize.
I’ve been focusing on two main goals: gathering speed and construction speed. These will keep paying off day after day, especially during overnight auto gathering.
I also joined Kingdom 819 under the Devil Paradise alliance, where I’ve been able to get alliance support for building upgrades and join in on rallies. It helps speed everything up—literally.
I plan to:
- Push for Town Center Level 23
- Optimize gear builds for each role (tank, support, DPS)
- Participate more in arena for better chest drops
- Fully transition away from weaker heroes like Saul
And on the personal side—I just got a new Black Lab pup named Cole. He’s only a few weeks old and already part of the Kingshot journey. You’ll probably hear about him again.
Wrapping Up
After 30 days of trial, error, and unexpected wins, I feel like I’m finally starting to understand the rhythm of Kingshot. It’s a game of small, smart choices stacking up over time. The key? Keep moving—every day counts.
If you’re just starting out or wondering whether small upgrades are worth it: they are. Just don’t wait too long to start making them.
