Is It Worth Going All-in on Zoe in Kingshot Hero Roulette?

Getting Started

Zoe seems like the obvious pick in Kingshot’s current event—but should you go all-in with 80,000 gems or spend $20–$50 on packs to get her fully leveled?

1. Why I Chose Zoe as My Main Hero This Week

I didn’t touch much on Day 1 of the event (focused on construction), but once I saw the “Play Hero” task for Day 2, I knew I had to commit—and Zoe stood out as the hero to focus on.

Here’s why I picked Zoe over others:

  • She’s featured in the Hero Roulette with solid drop chances
  • I had decent gear and skill books aligned with her class
  • Top-ranked players in my kingdom were also using her

So from both a gameplay and strategy standpoint, investing in Zoe made sense.

2. Should You Use Gems or Buy Packs? Here's What I Did

My biggest question was simple:

Should I spend all my saved gems, or buy a pack?

I had 80,000 gems ready and initially planned to use just that. But halfway through the spins, I realized the math wasn't on my side.

📑 My actual choices and outcomes

Option What I Did Outcome Worth It?
Use Gems Only Spent 80,000 gems Good spins, partial Zoe upgrade Somewhat inefficient
$20 Pack Bought 20-spin pack Got skill books + Zoe shards Yes
Skip $50 Pack Didn’t buy Missed final reward chest Slight regret

Bottom line:

I probably got 80–85% of the rewards just by spending 80,000 gems + $20. Not bad, but to fully clear the event? That’s where the $50 pack comes in.

3. What I Managed to Upgrade on Zoe

With the Zoe shards I collected from spins, I jumped straight into upgrades.

(1) Hero Ascension

I managed to ascend Zoe three times in total. After that, I hit the shard wall.

(2) Skill Upgrades

Used available skill books to unlock and level up two key abilities. Prioritized DPS-focused passives.

(3) Gear Loadout

Equipped a new piece of gear from a recent drop. Moved some items from underperforming heroes to strengthen Zoe’s loadout.

Quick summary:

Zoe is now part of my top 3 core heroes for both arena and PvE.

4. Why Helga Didn’t Make the Cut

There was a clear user comment about this:

“Don’t use Helga in Arena—she’s only level 1, so her skills are useless.”

I double-checked and yep, Helga was barely leveled, and her skills were untouched.

So even though I had gear for her, it didn’t make sense to keep investing. That opened up space for Howard or another infantry option.

Still wondering:

Should I continue investing only in Zoe, or split it across 2–3 heroes for more flexible team comps?

Right now, I’m still leaning toward a Zoe-first strategy, but open to revisiting if meta shifts.

5. What Rewards Did I Actually Unlock?

Let’s talk ROI. Here's what I got (and didn’t get) from my spins.

📑 Spin milestone rewards and progress

Spin Milestone Reward Did I Get It? Notes
70 Spins Some Zoe shards, skill books Yes Gems only
100 Spins Extra gear, higher-value rewards No Needed more spins
120 Spins Full Zoe unlock, bonus shards No Would’ve needed $50 pack

My conclusion:

Unless you’re okay dropping $50, the final chest might be out of reach.

But if you just want to build a strong Zoe and grab decent rewards, stopping at 90–100 spins with gem + $20 is totally fair.

6. Other Things I Managed This Week

While chasing Zoe, I also kept up with other areas of the game. Here’s a breakdown.

(1) Pet System

Bison at level 15. Looking to unlock next-tier beast soon.

Tip from a viewer: Feed only up to the required level, then wait for event tasks to go higher.

(2) Island Progression

Upgraded brewery = 10% healing boost. Cleared “cactus” shrubbery. 82 hearts earned, aiming for 100.

(3) Army and Formation

Swapped in frontline infantry units per arena suggestions. Adjusted defensive and offensive layouts. Reassigned gatherers after forgetting for half a day.

Little reminder:

Always reassign your gatherers before events start—it’s easy to forget.

Wrapping Up

Final verdict:

Going all-in on Zoe was a partially successful experiment. I didn't get 100% of the rewards, but I got close—and ended up with a much stronger hero.

If you’re in the same spot, here’s my advice:

  • Start with gems
  • Buy a $20 pack if needed
  • Skip the $50 pack unless you're chasing leaderboard spots

My take:

Zoe is worth investing in, but moderate spending with strategic timing goes a long way.

Are you planning to invest in Zoe or save your resources for the next event?

Let me know what you’d do differently—and check back tomorrow as I continue upgrading and (maybe) finish the spin challenge.
